Precious is a 30-year-old mother of two children from Uganda. She earns a living through a small business selling children's clothes from house to house, while her husband depends on casual labor for income. During her free time, she enjoys playing with her children and telling them stories. For the past seven years, Precious has lived with a swelling in her lower abdominal area. Over time, the swelling has progressively increased in size and become increasingly painful. What began as a health concern has developed into a significant obstacle in her daily life. The pain and discomfort have made it difficult for her to move around freely while looking for customers, limiting her ability to earn an income. Even performing ordinary household chores has become challenging, leaving her increasingly worried about how she will care for her children and manage her home. Precious was referred to our medical partner's care center, Rushoroza Hospital. The findings revealed a dermoid cyst requiring surgical excision. On October 31st, Precious will undergo surgery with the help of our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare. Now, Precious needs help to raise $261 to fund this procedure. Precious says, "For seven years, I have lived with this swelling, and the pain has made it difficult for me to move around and sell my clothes. This small business is how I try to provide for my children, but now even simple household work has become difficult. I have visited different health facilities hoping to find help, and I am relieved that the doctors at Rushoroza Hospital have identified a possible solution. Unfortunately, I cannot afford the cost of the operation because my business earns very little and my husband depends on casual work. Jenfa is a farmer from Ethiopia. He is 77 years old and lives with his wife and 10 children. For over a year, he has struggled with an enlarged prostate (BPH). Since getting a catheter four months ago, he has faced painful complications. As an active farmer used to working independently, the catheter has made everyday life very hard. It slows down his movement, stops him from doing his daily chores, and keeps him from seeing his friends and community. Losing his freedom has made him very unhappy. Simple, everyday tasks have become exhausting for him and his family. They are doing their best to help him through this hard time. Our medical partner, Saglan Wajee General Hospital, is requesting $900 to fund surgery that will help improve his quality of life. The treatment is scheduled to take place on August 11th; he and his family need your help. Jenfa shared, "I hope to regain my strength and independence so I can enjoy a peaceful and active retirement."

Phanna is a 26-year-old factory worker from Cambodia. He lives in Kampong Thom Province with his widowed mother, who is a rice farmer. He is the second child of four siblings, and his siblings all work as factory workers. In his free time, he enjoys playing volleyball with his friends in the village. In April 2026, Phanna was involved in a serious motorcycle and truck collision while traveling to his hometown. He has been diagnosed with a brachial plexus injury on his left side, causing paralysis in his left arm. The brachial plexus is a nerve network that transmits signals from the spine to the shoulder, arm, and hand. Injuries to this nerve network can result in loss of function and sensation. He is unable to lift his arm, bend his elbow, or move his wrist normally. This makes it difficult for him to perform daily activities independently and prevents him from returning to his job as a factory worker. Phanna traveled to our medical partner's care center, Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, to receive treatment. This is the only center in the whole country where this treatment is available. On July 16th, he will undergo a brachial plexus repair surgery. After recovery, the procedure is expected to help him regain movement in his shoulder and elbow, improve his arm function, regain independence, and return to work. Our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, is asking for help to fund this procedure. Phanna's family can contribute $50, but needs help raising $687 more. Phanna said, “Since the accident, I have not been able to use my left arm, and it has changed every part of my life. I hope this surgery will help me regain movement so I can return to work, take care of myself, and live more independently. I am grateful for the chance to receive this treatment.”
