Meet Ronny! A nine-year-old boy from rural Uganda. He was one of the first patients who had emergency, life-saving laparotomy surgery through our new Emergency Surgery Fund in 2025, made possible by supporters stepping in at the moment urgent care was needed most. So far, this fund has supported Ronny and 70 other patients with life-saving care.
Ronny’s father shared, "How I wish I would get a chance to connect with the people that were able to help and save the life of my child.”

Our community funded care for families across 34 countries and continues to grow where need is greatest. In 2025, we launched a new partnership with Hope Health Action in Northern Uganda’s West Nile region and re-launched our work with Muso in Mali, expanding access to care for families facing conflict and barriers to timely treatment.
By focusing on last-mile access, these partnerships help us reach patients earlier, strengthen local care delivery, and extend our community’s impact into new regions, especially those in crisis.

From building features that make giving faster, more personal, and joyful, to working alongside our medical partners in the field, our team focused on removing friction wherever it slowed care.
In Cambodia and the Philippines, our engineer observed how treatment is delivered in low-connectivity settings and how patient stories move from clinics to screens around the world. Those insights led to rapid improvements and performance upgrades, helping us continue to build a platform that is efficient and transparent.

In 2025, we invited our community behind the scenes by sharing how our team works day to day and how trust is built across patients, medical partners, and supporters.
That spirit came to life through Role Call, a new YouTube interview series hosted by Watsi Ambassador and long-time supporter Reena, where short conversations spotlight the people behind Watsi and how our model brings them together to deliver life-changing care.
As a fully remote team spanning 6 time zones, connection fueled us. From global stages to smaller, meaningful moments, 2025 was a year of showing up together.
At UNGA, Skoll World Forum, Davos, WHA Geneva, Social Innovation Summit and beyond, we shared Watsi’s story with the world. Our community of donors, volunteers, and partners brought Watsi to life by hosting gatherings, sharing their journeys, and opening new pathways for impact.
