John is 38 and lives in Kenya. Last year, he was assaulted with a machete, and his right arm was seriously injured. He has had two surgeries but is still not able to move his right hand due to extensive tendon and nerve damage.
John was married for four years, but after his injury he was no longer able to provide for his wife, so she left. John now lives with his parents, who are small scale farmers. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, tells us, “John feels saddened that he is forced to depend on his elderly parents instead of him supporting them.” John adds, “I want to get well and be able to work again.” Before his injury, he had a job at the local bus terminus.
John needs $1500 for a surgery that the doctors say will restore the use of his right hand. Let’s get John the care he needs to recover fully from his assault. Your donation will give him back his ability to provide for himself and those he loves.
