Jackson is four years old and the third of four children from Tanzania. His father is a hardworking farmer and pastoralist, cultivating maize and tending livestock to provide for his family.
Jackson has clubfoot on both feet. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. The tissues connecting the muscle to the bones are shorter than usual, and this causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes.
Fortunately, Jackson’s family traveled to visit our medical partner’s care center, Kafika House. Surgeons will begin clubfoot treatment on October 30th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,171 to fund Jackson’s clubfoot repair. After treatment, his father dreams of seeing his son grow strong and walk confidently and comfortably.
Jackson’s father says, “Jackson will soon be able to walk and run freely with other children in their village, without pain or struggle.”
