Vikisoni is an 81-year-old man from Malawi. He has six adult children and eighteen grandchildren. Despite his advanced age, he remains an active farmer and is known for his strength and energy. Since 2025, Vikisoni has been living with a bilateral inguinal hernia. The condition has made it difficult to carry out his daily activities and farming work, greatly affecting his quality of life. Fortunately, on May 6th, Vikisoni will undergo hernia repair surgery with the help of our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare. He is raising $667 to fund the surgery, which will allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. "I have seen love from the entrance that has already given me hope. Kindly support me to enjoy my last days on earth in good health," said Vikisoni.

Mogdaly is a preschooler from Haiti. She is the second child in her family and lives with her parents and one brother in a small fishing village. Her parents operate a small business. She likes watching cartoons. Mogdaly has a cardiac condition called pulmonic stenosis. One of the four valves of Modgaly's heart is too narrow, causing blood to back up and leading to heart failure. Mogdaly needs to fly to the Dominican Republic to receive treatment. On May 6th, she will undergo heart surgery, during which doctors will use a balloon on the end of a catheter to stretch her valve open to a more normal size, so that blood can flow through it more normally. Our medical partner, International Cardiac Alliance, will be funding her surgery. Mogdaly's family also needs help to fund the costs of surgery prep. She needs help raising $1,500 to cover labs, medicines, and check-up and follow-up appointments. It also supports securing travel documents for the family and travel costs for the social workers from our medical partner, who will accompany Mogdaly's family overseas. Mogdaly's mother shares, "Our family will be praying for everyone who is healing our daughter's heart!"

Charlina is a baby girl from Haiti. She lives with her parents in a city on the southern coast; her father works in construction, and her mother currently stays home to care for her. Charlina has a cardiac condition called double outlet right ventricle. one of the major blood vessels carrying blood from her heart is attached to the heart at an anatomically abnormal location, which prevents blood from circulating normally through her heart and body. She also has Down syndrome. Charlina will fly to the Dominican Republic to undergo surgery on March 18th. As Charlina's heart is still too small to completely repair this condition, she will undergo cardiac surgery, where doctors will implant a shunt in her heart that will help blood circulate more normally, and keep her safe and healthy until she has reached an age where a full repair is possible. Our medical partner, International Cardiac Alliance, is contributing $4500.00 to pay for the surgery. Charlina's family also needs help to fund the costs of surgery prep. They need help raising $1,500 to cover labs, medicines, and check-up and follow-up appointments. It also supports securing travel documents for the family and travel costs for the social workers from our medical partner, who will accompany Charlina's family overseas. Charlina's mother shared, "I am hopeful that after this surgery Charlina will have more appetite and energy than she does now!"

Helena is a four-year girl from Tanzania. She is the second-born in a family of three children. Helena was diagnosed with bilateral genu varus, causing her legs to bow outward. Several factors could cause this condition, such as growth disorders, vitamin deficiencies, or excessive fluoride found in contaminated drinking water. As a result, the knees can be angled inwards or outwards, making it difficult to walk and may cause long-term joint damage. This condition has affected her ability to walk and play as she grows. As the condition progressed, Helena’s mobility became an increasing concern. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $810 to fund treatment for Helena. The procedure is scheduled to take place on February 6th at our medical partner's care center, Kafika House. Treatment will hopefully restore Helena's mobility, allow her to participate in a variety of activities, and greatly decrease her risk of future complications. Helena's mother says, “Her legs are bending more as she grows, and she struggles to walk steadily, which makes everyday activities difficult for her.”

Patrocenio is a 63-year-old man from the Philippines. Two years ago, Patrocenio consulted a doctor about persistent abdominal pain. At times, the pain was so severe that he could not walk or perform simple daily chores. The attacks came without warning, leaving him uncertain about when the next episode would occur. After examination, the doctor explained that Patrocenio had gallstones and advised that they be removed through surgery. Patrocenio tried to seek help from different hospitals, but has not been able to undergo the surgery he needed. Fortunately, our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines, can help. On January 29th, Patrocenio will undergo gallbladder removal surgery to address his symptoms and allow him to live more comfortably. He needs help to raise $1,325 to fund his procedure and care. Patrocenio shared, "Work had always been on my mind ever since my condition became worse. I want to move normally as I did before - working, doing house chores, and going out more to enjoy even the simplest of things."

Lechisa is 22 years old and the oldest of four siblings from Ethiopia. His father passed away recently. Now, with three younger siblings and a grieving mother relying on him, he has been forced to assume the role of the father of the family. The heavy weight of his family’s future rests on the shoulders of this 22-year-old Grade 9 student. Though his overwhelming responsibilities have caused him to fall behind, he has courageously persisted in his education, repeatedly returning to school despite the pain and the aggressive work required to care for his younger siblings. He helps his mother on the farm to support the family. Four years ago, Lechisa started to experience swelling in his leg. It was causing pain and discomfort, making it difficult to walk. Following a consultation with our medical partner, Saglan Wajee General Hospital, doctors have recommended that Lechisa undergo a sequestrectomy, a surgical procedure involving the removal of fragments of infected, dead bone or tissue. If not treated, it can lead to recurrent infections that may result in life-threatening complications. Fortunately, on December 6th, Lechisa will undergo treatment, and he needs help to raise $900 to fund his procedure and care. Lechisa shared, "My future is filled with potential and many aspirations, yet this vision is brutally narrowed by my chronic pain. When it intensifies, pain is the only reality I can grasp. I long for liberation—to be pain-free, to continue my studies without interruption, and to reclaim the joy of living."

Neath is an 18-year-old high school student from Cambodia. She lives in Kampot province with her parents and siblings. She has a large family, with seven siblings, grandparents, and in-laws that live nearby and visit often. To support the family, her father works as a security guard, and her mother is a rice farmer. In her free time, Neath likes reading and painting. She would like to pursue a career in the fine arts or another creative field after graduating from high school. When she was three years old, Neath had an ear infection. This infection caused the tympanic membrane, or the eardrum, in both ears to perforate. For this reason, Neath experiences pain in her ears, recurrent discharge, hearing loss, and tinnitus. This makes it difficult to understand the lessons in her classes, leading to poor concentration and fatigue. She also finds it challenging to communicate with her friends and family. On September 10th, with the help of our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, Neath will undergo a myringoplasty procedure in both ears. During this procedure, surgeons will close the perforations. Her family can contribute $100 but needs help to raise $382 more to fund Neath's procedure and care. Neath's mother shared, "I hope that she has surgery to improve her hearing, and she can focus on her schoolwork."

Ada is a young student from Bolivia. She lives with her mom, who is a school custodian, and her teenage sister. Ada loves to sing; she is very friendly and has a strong personality. In 2022, Ada was diagnosed with a cardiac condition called a ventricular septal defect. A hole exists between the two lower chambers of her heart: blood leaks through this hole instead of circulating normally, leaving her weak and short of breath. On December 10th, Ada will undergo cardiac surgery at our medical partner's care center, Hospital del Niño Dr. Ovidio Aliaga Uría. During surgery, surgeons will sew a patch over the hole in her heart so that blood can no longer leak through it. Ada's family needs help to fund the costs of cardiac care and surgery. Our medical partner, International Cardiac Alliance, requests $1,500 to cover cardiac exams and diagnostics, surgical fees, follow-up care, and medications. Ada's mother says, "My daughter is in God's hands; I pray He can heal her through these wonderful doctors."
