Patrick is a cheerful and energetic three-year-old boy from Tanzania. He is the firstborn of two children. Following his parents' separation, Patrick lives with his father, who has since remarried and now cares for Patrick, his younger half-sister, and the family by working as a bajaji (tuk-tuk) driver. Patrick has clubfoot on both feet. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. The tissues connecting the muscle to the bones are shorter than usual, and this causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes. Patrick's condition causes his feet to turn inward. As a result, he struggles to wear shoes and often falls when walking longer distances. Despite these challenges, Patrick remains active, playful, and full of joy. Determined to help his son, Patrick's father sought medical care at Morogoro Hospital, where a nurse assessed him and referred the family to our medical partner's center, Kafika House, for specialized treatment. Patrick will begin clubfoot treatment at Kafika House on July 14th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,171 to fund Patrick's clubfoot repair. After treatment, his feet will straighten, allowing him to walk confidently, wear shoes, and enjoy a more active childhood. Patrick's father said, "As a father, my greatest wish is to see Patrick walk confidently without falling. I am grateful that hope has found us, and your support will give my son the chance to enjoy the healthy future every child deserves."

Enock is a 29-year-old man from Burundi. He migrated to Kenya from Burundi in search of a better life. Determined to build a future for himself, he worked hard cooking mandazi and hawking them daily to earn a living. Everything was going well until September 2025, when he was involved in a tragic accident while returning home after a successful day of selling his goods. Enock was riding on a motorbike when a vehicle lost control and crashed into them. He woke up the next morning in a hospital, unable to move his right leg, which had been severely injured. The fracture was so serious that the bones were exposed. He underwent a skin graft procedure to cover the exposed area, made possible through the support of well-wishers who had found him injured on the road and helped cover the medical costs. Enock was discharged to continue his recovery at home, but his condition worsened. He was brought to our medical partner's care center, AIC Kijabe Hospital, where doctors found his leg to be severely infected, placing him at risk of losing it if urgent treatment was not provided. He needs a skin graft procedure to facilitate the healing of his leg. Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Enock receive treatment. On March 4th, surgeons will perform a debridement and skin graft procedure to heal his wound, walk well again, and return to his small business. Now, Enock needs help to fund this $1,185 procedure. Enock says, “The past six months have been very difficult, relying on strangers for food and help moving around. I want to walk again so I can return to work and provide for myself.”

Hnin is a 31-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her husband in Phop Phra District, Tak Province, Thailand. Originally from Karen State, Burma, the family relocated to Thailand for better job opportunities. Hnin and her husband work as agricultural day labourers, but Hnin had to stop working in May 2025 due to health issues. In May 2025, Hnin began to experience troubling symptoms, including pain in her lower left abdomen. She was diagnosed with left kidney stones and was referred to our medical partner's care center, Mae Sot General Hospital. She was told she needed surgery to prevent her symptoms from getting worse. Currently, Hnin continues to suffer from pain in her lower left abdomen, a burning sensation during urination, and lower back pain when she walks for a long time. The back pain also makes it difficult for her to breathe, and she cannot sleep well at night due to the persistent pain. On March 12th, Hnin will undergo surgery with the help of our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund. She needs help raising $1,500 to fund her procedure and care. Hnin said, “Many thanks to the donors for helping me. Without your support, I would not access treatment, because I cannot afford it on my own. I truly wish for this organization that helps me to last forever, and for all the team members, including the donors, to have good health and happiness in the years ahead.”
