Stephen is a 15-year-old teenager from Kenya. He is the oldest of three siblings and lives in a small village. Stephen’s parents own a small plot of land and work hard to support their large family.
Stephen was born with part of his skull missing. Because of this, his forehead is sunken and his brain is not well protected. If Stephen experiences trauma to the head, his brain would suffer. Stephen’s mom is hopeful that Watsi can help her oldest son. She says, “My son has undergone a lot of pain and I wish that he gets the best treatment. I pray that he gets treatment and recovers quickly so that he can live a healthy life.”
For $1,500 Watsi donors can fund Stephen’s cranioplasty, a surgery to repair his skull. The surgery will ensure that his head is better protected. Let’s help this young man so that he can live an active life, free from worrying about his injuring his head!
