Berry is a 26-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her parents, husband, sister, and son in a refugee camp in Tak Province, Thailand. Berry is a homemaker. Her father and husband work in the camp. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, watching short videos on YouTube, and listening to songs on her phone.
Berry is currently expecting her second child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section due to a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is helping Berry undergo a C-Section on September 10th at our medical partner’s care center, Tha Song Yang Hospital. This procedure will cost $1500, and Berry needs your support.
Berry said, “I know that I need to go through a C-section, but we cannot afford it. My husband and father’s income is just enough to cover daily expenses. When the time is near for giving birth, I cannot sleep at night thinking about where I can borrow money from. The people I know in the camp are also struggling with their own lives. Knowing that you can support me makes me happy. Thank you so much for helping me.”
