Wondifraw is a bright and cheerful boy from Ethiopia. He is nine years old and enjoys playing football with his friends. Sadly, his father passed away before he was born. Wondifraw and his mother live with his grandparents, who are small-scale farmers. His mother took on casual work to support her son and her parents. She also sells fruits and vegetables on the roadside.
Wondifraw was born with a congenital condition known as cryptorchidism, where one or both testicles have not descended. If left untreated, Wondifraw has an increased risk of developing hernias, testicular cancer, and fertility problems in the future.
A doctor referred Wondifraw to our medical partner’s care center, BethanyKids Myungsung Christian Medical Centre, for specialized care. Wondifraw will be receiving assistance from our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH). Fortunately, he is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on October 09th. AMHF is requesting $754 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
Wondifraw’s mother expressed her heartfelt desire, saying, “I long to see my child healthy and happy. I am truly grateful for this opportunity, and I will praise the Lord once he safely completes his surgery.”
