Mathios is a two-year-old boy from Ethiopia. He enjoys playing and has a passion for cars. Mathios lives with his father, a construction worker, and his mother, a homemaker.
Mathios was born with hypospadias, a condition that causes urinary dysfunction.
His mother noticed his condition when he was five months old and took Mathios to the hospital a month later. He has been on a waiting list for a year and a half. His parents sought help at another hospital due to the long wait, but could not afford the cost of the surgery. Without treatment, Mathios will continue to experience uncomfortable symptoms and will be at risk of infertility.
Fortunately, Mathios is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on April 23rd. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,293 to cover the cost of his procedure and care.
Mathios’s mother said, “I pray for God’s help, and I hope to see my child successfully finish the procedure.”
