Huzeyefa is a playful and cheerful 13-year-old boy from Ethiopia. He enjoys reading religious books with his brother and sisters, and helping his parents in their farming work. Huzeyefa and his family live in the Central Region of Ethiopia. He is the third child in a family of six children, and is currently in Grade 3. Huzeyefa condition was first noticed by his aunt when he visted her in Addis Ababa. While bathing him, she noticed that something was quite not right. Concerned, she took him to the nearest health centre, where he was referred to a higher-level hospital for further evaluation. “I was very anxious. My heart was broken, and I couldn’t sleep well. I was very worried when I heard that Huzeyfa needed surgery," his aunt shared. Huzeyefa was born with hypospadias, a condition that causes urinary dysfunction. Without treatment, he will continue to experience uncomfortable symptoms and will be at risk of future complications. The doctors placed Huzeyefa on a long surgery wait list, and informed the family that he might have to wait for up to a year to undergo surgery. This news worried his aunt because Huzeyfa needed to return home to continue his education. In addition, his family could not afford the cost of surgery at a private hospital. Three weeks later, Huzeyfa’s aunt received encouraging news. The higher-level hospital had referred Huzeyfa to our medical partner's care center, BethanyKids Myungsung Christian Medical Centre (BKMCM). At BKMCM, Huzeyfa was scheduled for surgery on August 10th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Huzeyfa receive treatment, and is requesting $1,293 to cover the cost of his procedure and care. Huzeyfa's aunt shared: "Thank you so much for all your support, kindness, and care. May God bless you with good health, long life, and abundant blessings. I am truly grateful to each one of you. My prayer is that Huzeyfa will recover well, continue his education, and grow into a successful person with a bright future. Thank you all so much."

Chimean is a 21-year-old chef from Cambodia. She lives with her parents and three younger siblings. Her father sells sugarcane, and her mother works as a cook in a family's home. She is the eldest of four children. During her free time, she enjoys listening to music and watching movies. In June 2026, Chimean accidentally injured the left side of her wrist with a knife while working. The injury damaged her ulnar nerve, causing weakness and numbness in her left hand and difficulty moving her wrist and fingers. This makes it difficult for her to use her hand for cooking and other daily activities. She needs to undergo a tendon and nerve repair procedure to help regain strength and mobility. Our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, is helping Chimean receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo the tendon and nerve repair procedure on October 29th. She can contribute $75, but needs help raising $626 more to fund her procedure and care. Chimean said, “I hope my hand will get stronger after surgery so I can move my fingers better, prepare food more easily, and return to work as a chef.”

Shwe is a 26-year-old woman from Burma, living in Thailand. She is a factory worker. She migrated from Yangon to seek better job opportunities. At that time, her mother had cancer and needed treatment. Her mother passed away, and Shwe is now on her own. In February 2026, Shwe felt a mass in her breast. The mass continued to grow and started to cause her pain, forcing her to seek medical consultation. Doctors recommended she undergo surgery to remove the mass. Her current situation affects her both physically and emotionally. She is worried that it could be cancer. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is helping Shwe undergo treatment. She is scheduled to undergo mass removal surgery on October 30th, and needs help raising $1,500 to cover the total cost of her procedure and care. Shwe said, “If I stop working, nobody will support me. Because of this, I feel a lot of stress. Physically, I feel uncomfortable and cannot sleep on the right side because of the pain caused by the mass.”
