Menghorng is an adorable four-year-old girl who loves playing with toys and hanging out with her sisters. About a year ago, she burned her hand in a cooking fire. Despite treatment at a local clinic in her hometown, her fingers are still fused together and she has limited movement from the contractures caused by the scar tissue.
The surgeons at Children’s Surgical Centre would like to perform contracture release surgery with skin grafting to help restore function to Menghorng’s hand. The treatment costs only $300.
Menghorng and her family are willing to travel the 12 hours from their remote hometown to the center, let’s do our part to make their trip worth it!

Menghorng received a contracture release surgery with skin grafting to restore function in her hand.
Menghorng’s surgery went very well! Her doctors kept her at the surgical center for a few weeks after her treatment to ensure the skin graft took well (she lives twelve hours away and returning for a follow-up would have been difficult) but she’s now been given a clean bill of health and discharged home!
Menghorng’s mother (pictured with her above) was very appreciative for all of the help given to her daughter. They say they are very happy and excited to get back to their village.
