Bunly is a sweet eight-year-old boy who was born with a hand deformity where two of his fingers are fused together. This makes everyday tasks like eating and writing a challenge for him. Bunly’s parents say he is shy due to his condition and that he wants to look like the other kids in his school. For $300, the surgeons at Children’s Surgical Centre can perform an operation to reconstruct his hand. Menghorng is an adorable four-year-old girl who loves playing with toys and hanging out with her sisters. About a year ago, she burned her hand in a cooking fire. Despite treatment at a local clinic in her hometown, her fingers are still fused together and she has limited movement from the contractures caused by the scar tissue. The surgeons at Children’s Surgical Centre would like to perform contracture release surgery with skin grafting to help restore function to Menghorng’s hand. The treatment costs only $300.
