Menghorng is an adorable four-year-old girl who loves playing with toys and hanging out with her sisters. About a year ago, she burned her hand in a cooking fire. Despite treatment at a local clinic in her hometown, her fingers are still fused together and she has limited movement from the contractures caused by the scar tissue. The surgeons at Children’s Surgical Centre would like to perform contracture release surgery with skin grafting to help restore function to Menghorng’s hand. The treatment costs only $300. Menghorng and her family are willing to travel the 12 hours from their remote hometown to the center, let’s do our part to make their trip worth it!

Debra is a mother who is expecting one more child. Until recently, there wasn't a clean, safe place for women in Debra's community to give birth. Thanks to Lwala Community Alliance, Debra can deliver in a hospital with doctors nearby to help in the event of complications. Life threatening complications occur in 15% of all births, and contribute to the outrageous number of maternal deaths that occur in developing countries. To sustain her family, Debra owns a business at a local market where she sells tomatoes, onions, and small fish. Her husband works on other people’s farms to earn money for their children’s school fees. Debra "prays for a safe delivery in a health facility," and for $215 we can ensure that happens.
