Five-year-old Katiana lives in the Haitian countryside with her parents and four siblings.
“Katiana was born normally, but when she turned two-months-old she became sick,” says our medical partner, Project Medishare. The doctors discovered that Katiana has hydrocephalus, a buildup of fluid inside the skull that leads to swelling of the brain.
