Meet Gina, a 37-year-old mother from Haiti. Our medical partner, Project Medishare, tells us, “Gina is a hardworking woman living in the Haitian countryside; she has four kids and is the family caretaker.”
Gina was recently diagnosed with breast cancer after noticing a painful lump on her breast. She began treatment, but after three months was forced to discontinue her care because of the cost. Normally, she earns money to support her family by reselling goods in the countryside. But due to her illness, she’s had to stop work, creating a very difficult situation for her family.
Gina needs surgical intervention and further chemotherapy to treat her cancer; otherwise, she may lose her life. “I am excited to receive and finish the treatment and I wish to find a good job to help my children,” she says.
For just $1,500, we can pay to help save Gina’s life and let her continue working hard to provide for her children. Let’s make it happen!

Gina received surgery and chemotherapy to treat her breast cancer.
Gina’s surgery was a success!
Doctors from Project Medishare report that Gina underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy to treat her breast cancer. Now she is recovering well and is ready to return to her daily activities.
“I feel very good, sometimes I feel some pain on my back when I do some exercises but that is okay,” said Gina. “Very much thanks to all the staff for their help, for the treatment they provided to me and thanks to the folks that paid for me—I could not do anything if you did not help me. Before I became sick I was studying law sciences but I’ve been unable to go to school because of the cancer. Now my goal is to go back to school. I have lost 12 months but i still have time to achieve my studies. My wish for you is to keep doing what you are doing, that is helping people.”
