Joseph is a hardworking father of two young girls. He’s 44-years-old and lives in Kenya, where he supports his family by working as a driver for a small cargo-moving company.
Earlier this year, Joseph was involved in an accident at work and broke his leg. “At the time of the accident, Joseph was rushed to a private hospital where his hospital bill ran to the thousands within a few days. He spent all his savings and the little he got from his employers in an effort to clear the bills,” says our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation.
Joseph has not fully recovered from the accident and has been unable to work or provide for his family. “My heart breaks when my young daughter asks for candy and I have to say we cannot afford it. This injury has put a strain on the little my wife earns. I just want to get better so that I can work again and take care of my family,” he says.
For $660, Joseph can pay for surgery to fix his leg, allowing him to get back to work and care for his family. Let’s help him out!
