Samuel is a driver from Mozambique. He is married with two children. His wife stays at home to care for the children, while Samuel travels to Malawi often to transport goods. He loves his job and enjoys eating his home food prepared by his wife.
Last year, Samuel noticed a lump around his stomach. He was experiencing pain and discomfort, affecting his work. He visited a hospital in Mozambique and was diagnosed with an epigastric hernia. He decided to seek treatment at our medical partner’s care center, Partners in Hope Medical Center, in Malawi.
Samuel needs surgery to treat his symptoms. Surgery will greatly improve his quality of life by allowing him to concentrate fully on driving. With restored health, he will be able to work consistently enabling him to continue supporting his family in good health. Fortunately, on January 28th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $575 to fund Samuel’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
“Thank you for being nice to people from other countries, I will happily enjoy my job without these symptoms after surgery,” said Samuel.
