Ling is a 5-year-old girl who lives in Kampong Chhnang province with her parents and two siblings. Her parents run a stall at the local market selling children's toys. Ling loves playing with her siblings and running around the village. Her favorite subject is math and she hopes to be a nurse when she grows up. When Ling was 2 years old, she received injections in her left thigh for an infection. Since then, she has developed a stiff knee and hip, making it difficult to bend, carry out everyday activities, walk, and run. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre can help. On March 7th, Ling will undergo a tendon lengthening procedure to improve her mobility. With surgery and physiotherapy, Ling should be able to walk and run again. Our partner is requesting $572 to fund Ling's surgery and care. Ling's mom shared, "I hope she can get better and play with her friends again."

Rossette is a 35-year-old housewife from Uganda. Her husband works in a retail shop and supports his wife as she has not been able to find a job. During her free time, Rossette enjoys visiting her friends. Rossette is currently expecting her first child. She received antenatal care at Rushoroza Hospital, where her doctors recommended that she deliver via a Cesarean section because of breech presentation at term. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Rossette undergo a C-Section on March 1st. This procedure will cost $214 and Rossette needs your support. Rosette says, “I hope I will have a successful surgery with a positive outcome. After complete recovery, I will continue to search for a job. May God bless you.”

Gerson is a four-month-old baby. He is the second-born child in a family of two children. Gerson's mother stays at home while his father engages in casual day jobs to earn a living. Gerson was born with clubfoot on both his legs. His feet are twisted inward and downward, which requires treatment at an early stage. This will make it difficult for Gerson to crawl, walk, and wear shoes. Fortunately, Gerson's family traveled to visit our medical partner's care center, Kafika House. There, the team will begin clubfoot treatment on April 5th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $935 to fund Gerson's clubfoot repair. After treatment, he will be able to wear shoes and will reduce stress on his feet when he starts walking. Gerson’s mother Says: “Please help my son. I hope he finishes his treatment and his feet get better to grow up and be successful.”
