Bazilo is a farmer from Malawi. He and his wife run a small farm, and they have ten grown children and many grandchildren. To supplement the family income, Bazilo raises goats. In his free time, he likes to play with his grandchildren
Since May 2017, Bazilo has been experiencing pain and urinary difficulty. These symptoms are caused by an enlarged prostate, a condition called benign prostatic hyperplasia. He needs to undergo a prostate resection surgery, a procedure in which surgeons will remove part of the enlarged gland.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $733 to fund Bazilo’s surgery. On March 20, he will undergo prostate surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and two weeks of hospital stay. Bazilo is happy and relieved he will receive surgery, and he is ready to get back to his normal activities.
He says, “Thank you for this support.”
