Birungi underwent a safe delivery.

Birungi’s C-Section was a success. She delivered bouncing twin baby boys! Following custom in Batooro culture, the first boy was named Isingoma and the second was named Kato.

She says, “After recovery I will resume working as a baker in the bakery after my maternity leave. I am very appreciative and grateful to Watsi and to all those who contributed towards my surgery. I have nothing to give in return. God bless you.”

Birungi is a 27-year-old woman from Uganda. She works as a baker, and she has one eight-year-old child. This child was delivered via C-section.

Birungi is now pregnant for the second time and is expecting twins. Due to concerns about possible complications, she has been advised to undergo another C-section. However, she cannot afford the procedure.

Birungi’s expected delivery date is April 26. She needs help to fund this $280 procedure, which will ensure that both she and her babies are healthy and safe.

She says, “After surgery, I will go for a thanksgiving in a church as a way of thanking God for the gift of twins.”
