Tibagwa is a 33-year-old married woman from Uganda and a mother of two children. Her husband is hired as a taxi driver. Tibagwa is a business woman who sells secondhand clothes for girls in the market. The money they earn is not enough to meet their family’s needs and pay the hospital bills.
Since 2014, Tibagwa has had a swelling in her left armpit. She was recently diagnosed with a left axilla lipoma, which needs surgery. She was referred to our medical partner’s care center for a mass excision. If not treated, the swelling may increase in size, causing her more pain.
Fortunately, with the help of our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, Tibagwa is scheduled to receive her surgery on September 20. After surgery, Tibagwa hopes to get peace of mind and continue selling secondhand clothes in the market.

Tibagwa underwent a mass excision.
Tibagwa’s lipoma excision was a success. She is no longer at risk of continued discomfort. After recovery, she will be able to do simple work at home and continue with her business of selling second-hand clothes.
She says, “I am now feeling better. My surgery went well. After recovery, I will resume my business of selling second-hand clothes for girls so as to work hand in hand with my husband to be able to raise school fees for our boys in school. I am so much excited for my recovery…I am very grateful and appreciative to Watsi. I have nothing to give in return for great work done in my life. God bless you.’’
