Ten-year-old Andrew is a student from Colombia. He dreams of becoming a great entrepreneur one day. Andrew’s favorite food is rice with chicken and maduro, a dish that always brightens his day. Besides studying, he loves to play and to spend time with his friends, enjoying the little moments that make life special.
Since birth, Andrew has had an umbilical hernia, a condition in which the intestine protrudes through the abdominal muscles at the belly button. The condition has been causing him pain, especially during any form of physical exertion.
Fortunately, our medical partner, Clínica Noel, can help Andrew access the care that he needs. On June 24th, Andrew will undergo an umbilical herniorrhaphy at Clínica Noel, which should enable him to live a far more comfortable life. Now, Andrew and his family need your help to raise the $786 needed to fund his treatment.
Andrew’s parents said: “What we wish most is for our son to fully recover from this condition. We are confident that following treatment, he will be able to resume his daily activities more comfortably, play with peace of mind, and attend school without discomfort or pain. His well-being is our top priority.”
