Meet Samuel, a three-month-old baby boy from Tanzania!
This past August, Watsi donors funded an operation to treat Samuel’s myelomeningocele. After two weeks of physiotherapy, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF), states that Samuel successfully recovered from his surgery.
Now, Samuel needs treatment to repair a hernia just below his belly button. AMHF explains that this bulge frequently appears, especially while eating.
With $610, Samuel will receive treatment to correct his hernia. To support his recovery, Samuel will also spend one week at Plaster House–a specialized surgical rehabilitation program.
This operation will prevent Samuel from developing intestinal obstruction in the future, allowing him to enjoy normal childhood development.
“Samuel is doing great, we continue to pray for complete healing so that he can grow up like other children and live an independent life,” said Samuel’s mother.
