Kalota is a 59-year-old Malawian man who lives and runs a small farm with his wife. He also works on computers to supplement the family income. In his free time, Kalota likes to spend quality time with his wife and visit his grandchildren.
Since 2015, Kalota has been suffering with an inguinal hernia, which has caused him pain and discomfort. The price of the hernia repair surgery is outside his family’s financial reach. In order to help Kalota, our medical partner, World Altering Medicine (WAM), is requesting $334 to fund Kalota’s surgery and hospital stay. Kalota and his wife are thrilled that he will be able to receive the treatment he needs.
Kalota is scheduled to undergo surgery on August 24 at WAM’s care center, Nkhoma Hospital.
“Thank you for this support,” Kalota says.
