Faisal is a nine-month-old boy who was born in Tanzania. He was diagnosed with a right inguinal hernia. A hernia occurs when an organ or tissue bulges through weakened muscles. Without treatment, he may suffer intestinal damage and blockage.
Faisal is being raised by his single mother, who balances owning her own café and raising her son. She brought him to our medical partner’s care center, Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre, where he will undergo a repair procedure on January 9.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $610 for Faisal’s treatment.
“I hope that my child is able to be healed,” says Faisal’s mother.
