Dalitso is a mother of three and grandmother of one from Malawi. She is a farmer who enjoys chatting with friends after a day of work.
Since June 2018, Dalitso has been experiencing pain and a burning sensation in her stomach. She has been diagnosed with cervical cancer. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $650 to fund Dalitso’s surgery. On August 31, she will undergo gynecological surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and seven nights of hospital stay. Dalitso’s family is very happy that she will receive surgery and her pain will go away.
She says, “Thank you to the Watsi project for making this surgery possible.”
