Meet Annah, a 65-year-old woman from Kenya. She is a mother of four children, who live with her in the family’s ancestral house. She works in her small farm to support herself.
Two years ago, Annah discovered a lump in her right breast. A biopsy performed at our medical partner’s hospital, AIC Kijabe Hospital, revealed that she had breast cancer. On November 29, doctors performed a mastectomy procedure. This surgery will reduce the chance of cancer spreading to other parts of Annah’s body.
Annah needs help to fund this $816 treatment. When she learned about Watsi, our medical partner says she brightened up immediately.
“I want to be well,” she says, “I still want to continue serving God.”

Annah underwent a life-saving mastectomy procedure.
Annah received successful treatment in our medical partner’s facility. She had the lump removed, reducing chances of cancer progression and spread. She is scheduled to undergo clinical reviews for further health recommendations.
Annah says, “I will forever pray for the success of this organization in assisting needy patients. I am confident that I will continue serving God.”
