Rab is a 44-year-old rubber tree farmer from Cambodia. He has three sons, three daughters, and enjoys staying at home with his family and relaxing.
Fifteen years ago, Rab developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurry vision, tearing, and photophobia. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Rab learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three and a half hours seeking treatment. On November 21, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
Rab said, “I hope that after my surgery, I will be able to see more clearly than before and return to my normal activities without any issues.”
