Angel is a student from Colombia. He is a bright, responsible boy who is dedicated to his studies, which has allowed him to consistently excel at school. He is known for being curious, intelligent, cheerful, and very active. He enjoys anime, soccer, board games, traveling with his family, and playing freely; he also loves learning fun facts about animals and dinosaurs. He is currently learning to play the guitar and is on a soccer team. Angel began experiencing pain in early 2025, which forced him to stop playing soccer for a few months. He has an umbilical hernia, a condition in which a small portion of abdominal tissue protrudes through the navel. Surgery has been recommended to correct the hernia and prevent possible future complications. Fortunately, on September 30th, Angel will undergo repair surgery with the help of our medical partner, Clinica Noel. He needs help raising $1,005 to fund his procedure and care. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably. Veasna is a 39-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. He is married and lives in Kampong Cham with his wife and their two children. His wife works at a garment factory, their first child is in Grade 3, and their youngest child is 2 years old. He d also takes day labor jobs to help support his family. On April 25, 2026, Veasna was involved in a motorcycle-car accident that caused a fracture of his left humerus. He underwent surgery for his humerus fracture, but afterward, he remained unable to move his left arm and was referred to our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, for further treatment. He has been diagnosed with a brachial plexus injury on his left side. The brachial plexus is a nerve network that transmits signals from the spine to the shoulder, arm, and hand. Injuries to this nerve network can result in loss of function and sensation. He has severe weakness and loss of sensation in his left arm and is unable to actively move his shoulder, elbow, wrist, or fingers. His arm is currently nonfunctional, making it difficult for him to farm, earn an income, and perform everyday activities independently. Veasna traveled to our medical partner's care center, Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, to receive treatment. This is the only center in the whole country where this treatment is available. On August 11th, he will undergo a brachial plexus repair surgery. After recovery, he will regain some movement and function in his left arm, making daily activities easier and allowing him to become more independent and return to farming. His family can contribute $100, but needs help raising $637 more to fund his procedure and care. Veasna said, “I hope this surgery can help restore some movement and function in my left arm. Even if my arm cannot fully recover, I hope to become more independent, return to farming, and make my daily activities easier.”

Ryan is a 41-year-old man from the Philippines. He is a factory worker, while his wife is a homemaker. Six years ago, Ryan noticed a swelling in his gums. As time passed, the mass grew bigger and started to cause him pain and discomfort, interfering with his ability to do his daily activities and work. He is unable to eat or speak comfortably. Ryan needs to undergo surgery to remove the mass. He is scheduled for surgery on June 12th. A portion of the cost of his surgery will be covered by government insurance, but our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines, is asking for help to raise the remaining $1,385 for Ryan's procedure and care. After surgery, he should be able to go back to his daily activities and work more comfortably. Ryan shared, "I am grateful for the opportunity to receive medical assistance. I look forward to recovering and continuing to provide for my family with peace of mind about my health."
