Ma comes from a small village in Burma. Recently, the pain from a mass in her uterus forced her to quit her job as a maid. Now, even basic housework is a struggle because of the overwhelming pain.
Ma has tried everything from traditional medicine to seeing physicians at local clinics to treat her pain, but nothing has worked. After multiple bus trips to and from the hospital, her doctors have determined that she needs a hysterectomy (removal of her uterus) to end her symptoms for good and allow her to return to normal life.
For $540, we can fund Ma’s surgery and enable her to pursue her dream of opening a dried goods store!
