Zephita is two years old and lives with her mother and maternal grandparents in the Rift Valley region of Kenya. Zephita’s grandfather is an assistant chief, while her grandmother is a subsistence farmer.
Zephita was born with an abnormal condition in a sensitive condition that causes bowel dysfunction. She underwent the first surgery to treat this condition in 2015. Since then, her family has been unable to pay for her continued treatment. If not treated, Zephita may develop infection or irritation.
Zephita was recommended to visit our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, for specialized treatment. Now, she is scheduled for a corrective surgery on September 29.Her family needs help raising $1,327.
After surgery, Zephita will be on the road to recovery and can hopefully soon be free of her condition.
