“We’ll provide food, medical treatment, accompaniment, and intensive growth monitoring,” Wuqu’’ Kawoq (WK) tells us about their plans to treat one-year-old Isais’s malnourishment.
This little guy from Guatemala is the eighth-born child in his large and loving family. “Isais is extremely small,” says the WK team. “He has been chronically ill for the last several months and he is not growing. He is underweight, but he is especially under-height.”
WK is well-equipped to put Isaias’s parents at ease and help their son out in a big way. Let’s cover the $535 they need to make sure this happens.

Isais received nutritional therapy to treat his malnourishment.
“Isais is doing really well. He’s gained a lot of weight in the last few weeks, and his height is improving as well,” reports our medical partner, Wuqu’ Kawoq. “He’s also no longer suffering from chronic diarrhea. He is eating better, and his parents report that his appetite and energy have returned (as evidenced by the big smile in the photo). Our nutrition staff will continue to monitor closely for at least a few more months, but it does seem that Isais is on the road to normal development.”
Isais’ mother is looking forward to his growth and development in the future; “Thank you for helping me with my special son, he was so sick, and now I see that he is already better.”
