Sabastian is a teenager from Kenya. He lives with his family in a two-room house in Nairobi.
In mid-2016, Sabastian developed lower abdominal pain and bowel complications. He is in constant pain, and medication has not helped. This has left him unable to attend school.
Fortunately, the family visited our medical partner’s care center, where the doctor recommended that Sabastian undergo a colostomy to improve his bowel function. Surgery is scheduled for August 2 and will cost $564.
“I want to be a pilot engineer when I grow up,” shares Sabastian.
