Francis is a 37-year-old businessman from Kenya. Francis works by buying and selling scrap metal to support his family which consists of his wife and two children.
One month prior, Francis began to experience troubling symptoms, including persistent abdominal pain, fever, and general abdominal discomfort. He later visited a local hospital, where he was diagnosed with chronic appendicitis. Physicians recommend a laparotomy, which is a surgery that opens up the abdominal cavity to treat his condition.
Francis urgently needs surgery to remove his appendix and address the serious risk to his health. Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help. On September 9th, Francis will undergo surgery at our medical partner’s care center, AIC Kijabe Hospital. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully greatly improve his quality of life. Now, Francis needs help to raise $1,500 to fund his treatment.
Francis shared, “I am always in pain. I hope you can help me.”
