Htun is a 29-year-old man from Burma. He lives with his wife and five-year-old son in Mae Sot, Tak Province, Thailand. Htun works as a day laborer on a construction site while his wife works as a cleaner at a clinic. His son is a preschool student. In his free time, Htun enjoys playing games on his phone and spending time with his son.
In April 2025, Htun noticed a lump in his abdomen. He sought medical advice at the clinic and underwent a CT scan. Doctors diagnosed him with a liposarcoma, a tumor in his abdomen, which requires surgery. The lump causes discomfort. Htun is worried it might be cancer. He has trouble sleeping at night due to his anxiety.
Htun sought treatment through our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund. He is now scheduled to undergo mass removal surgery on July 8th. He is requesting $1,500 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
Htun expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much to this organization and the donors for assistance with my treatment costs. I have many things I want to say, but I do not know how to express them. I am very nervous that the lump could be cancer. After my surgery, I hope I can return to work, stay focused, and earn money for my family.”
