Shirley is a 16-month-old baby girl from Guatemala. She lives with her parents. Her father is a day laborer, and her mother is a homemaker. Shirley is a kind, happy baby. She loves to practice speaking with her parents, though they can’t quite understand her yet!
Recently, Shirley was diagnosed with malnutrition. She is not growing properly, and she is often sick.
On February 13, Shirley will begin treatment for malnutrition at our medical partner’s care center, Clinic Miller. Our medical partner, Wuqu’ Kawoq, is asking for $437 in funds to cover the cost of Shirley’s formula and nutritional supplements. Funds will also go toward an educational program that will teach her mother how to create a nutritious diet using limited resources.
“I want to thank you for the support Shirley is going to receive,” says Shirley’s mother. “My happiness is to see my daughter healthy and be able to improve her growth.”
