Collins is 13 years old and the second-born in a family of three from Kenya. He is happy and playful and loves singing at home and in church. His father is a small-scale farmer, and his mother stays home to care for the family.
When Collins was five years old, his mother noticed something unusual about his walk. Collins was diagnosed with clubfoot on the left foot. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. This causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes.
Fortunately, Collins was referred to our medical partner’s care center, AIC Cure International Hospital. There, surgeons will perform clubfoot repair surgery on February 25th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, requests $1,286 to fund Collins’s clubfoot repair. After treatment, he can walk better, play football, and continue his studies like other children.
Collins’s father says, “I am grateful for the support, and I pray that the donor continues their good work to help needy children. God bless them.”
