Meet Muhangi, a 17-year-old boy from Uganda. Muhangi wishes to be a doctor in the future and spends his time studying for school.
About one year ago, Muhangi began to experience a painful swelling in his scrotum, which was later diagnosed as a hernia. Over time, his hernia progressed until the pain was so severe that he sometimes had to miss school.
Muhangi sought treatment through our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, and he is now scheduled to undergo hernia repair surgery on July 6. He is requesting $219 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
Muhangi’s aunt says, “After surgery, I hope my son to have peace of mind and he continues school for a better future and I will continue with farming.”
