Formius is 35 years old and a farmer from Uganda. She is the firstborn in a family with one sister and one brother, both of whom have families and are also peasant farmers. She completed Primary 7 but, due to a lack of school fees, could not continue her education. She worked as a domestic helper until she got married. She and her husband have three children. Both she and her husband farm, mainly growing food crops for home consumption and selling surplus to generate income for the family. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, cleaning, or caring for her family.
Formius is currently expecting her fourth child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Formius undergo a C-Section on January 15th. This procedure will cost $252, and Formius needs your support.
Formius says, “I kindly appeal to you for support; otherwise, with my financial situation, I don’t think I will be able to afford my surgery by myself.”
