Meet Buryahika, a 52-year-old subsistence farmer and mother from Uganda.
Buryahika shares with our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF), that she began experiencing pain in a sensitive area about 16 years ago. Buryahika became increasingly worried this year when she started bleeding and immediately sought medical attention.
Buryahika has been diagnosed with uterine prolapse (a condition in which the uterus dislodges from its normal position) and requires surgery to treat it.
AMHF has scheduled Buryahika in for surgery on November 16. As Buryahika’s condition has prevented her from working, she relies on her children to support her. She needs our help to raise $287 for her surgery.
“After my surgery, I hope I will stop worrying and be able to go back to work,” says Buryahika.

Buryahika says, “I am fine. The mass I used to feel is no longer there. I am excited about the comfort I am feeling. I never thought I would ever feel this way again. God is great.
