Meet Ronaldo, a young student from Guatemala who could use your support.
“Ronaldo is a really cool 12-year-old boy who was referred to us a few months ago” says Peter Rohloff, the medical director at our partner Wuqu’ Kawoq. “He was born without a left wrist and hand. He’s still managed to do well in school, and he can actually get a lot done with just one hand! But he really needs a prosthetic device to make him more functional, more independent, and to improve his self esteem.”
“Ronaldo’s anatomy is pretty difficult, and he’ll need a specially molded prosthetic device in order to make sure he has a good fit. He’s never been able to access a prosthetic before, because of his family’s extreme poverty together with the extreme cost of prosthetic devices.”
