Mohammed is a playful and intelligent seven-year-old boy from Ethiopia. He loves playing football, running, and spending time with his friends. He is a first-grade student and the second child in his family. Mohammed has one older brother and two younger sisters. His father works as a daily laborer, while his mother is a housewife. The family lives in a rented house and faces financial challenges. Mohammed was born with hypospadias, a condition that causes urinary dysfunction. Without treatment, he will continue to experience uncomfortable symptoms and will be at risk of future complications. When Mohammed was about one year old, they took him to a nearby health center. After examining him, the doctor advised the family to return when he was older, explaining that surgery could be performed at a later age. The family returned home, but as Mohammed grew older, they became increasingly concerned that the condition could affect his future. Fortunately, Mohammed is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on August 17th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,293 to cover the cost of his procedure and care. After surgery, he should be able to live more comfortably. Mohammed's father shared, "Thank you so much to everyone for listening to our concerns and responding to our needs. Sièwa is a 30-year-old homemaker from Mali, and a mother of two. She enjoys listening to the radio with her family in her free time. Sièwa is currently expecting her third child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via caesarean section due to a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, Muso, is helping Sièwa undergo a C-Section on September 15th. This procedure will cost $259, and Sièwa needs your support. Sièwa says: "With support for the procedure, I look forward to delivering a healthy baby."

Piseth is a 16-year-old boy from Cambodia. He lives in Kratie Province with his parents, who support the family through rice farming and day labor. He is the oldest of two children, and his younger sister is in Grade 8. Although he is no longer attending school, he enjoys spending time with friends and playing football in his village. His favorite meal is Korko fish soup. On February 26th, 2026, Piseth was involved in a car-motorcycle accident that caused a closed fracture of his left distal femur. He was taken to a hospital and was told he needed surgery, but his family could not afford the operation. He later received treatment from a traditional healer, who used a bamboo splint to support his injured leg. Unfortunately, the fracture did not heal properly and developed into a non-union, leaving his left leg approximately 4 centimeters shorter. The unhealed fracture has continued to cause pain and abnormal movement in his left thigh, making it difficult for him to walk and stand comfortably. He also has a small superficial wound near his left ankle. Piseth was referred to our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, for further care. On September 9th, he is scheduled to undergo a left femur osteotomy and placement of a traction pin. The surgery aims to address the abnormal bone position and shortening and support the healing of his leg, with the hope of improving his mobility and independence. Piseth's mother said, “I hope this surgery will help my son’s leg heal properly, reduce his pain, and make it easier for him to walk and stand. I want him to become more independent and return to his normal daily activities.”
