Math is a 62-year-old farmer from Cambodia. He is married and has three sons and two daughters. He enjoys gardening, planting vegetables, and listening to the news on the radio.
About a year ago, Math stepped on a sharp object. The injured foot has grown painful and infected, making it difficult for him to walk and work on his farm.
Math traveled four hours with his wife to reach our medical partner’s care center. On December 20, surgeons will remove the object from Math’s foot. After recovery, he should walk easily again. Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is requesting $224 to fund the procedure.

Math underwent surgery to help him walk.
Surgeons successfully removed the foreign body from Math’s left foot. Following his procedure, he was given pain medication. He will receive regular wound care from the health center in his village. Math is now able to walk more easily than before.
Math says, “I look forward to going back home and farming to earn money to support my family again.”
