Gareeba is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. He is married with seven children. Gareeba and his wife farm millet, beans, maize, and bananas in order to meet their needs.
For six months, Gareeba has had a left inguinal hernia. This hernia causes him pain and discomfort and if not treated, he may suffer intestinal tissue damage or death. Fortunately, on August 28, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $219 to fund Gareeba’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Gareeba says, “I will be happy to have relief of this condition after surgery as I resume to farming.”
