Oeurn is a 57-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia, who is married with one son and four grandchildren. Oeurn’s favorite ways to spend her time involve listening to monks pray at the pagoda and chatting with her neighbors.
Three years ago, Oeurn developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her discomfort and difficulties with her vision. She now has trouble recognizing faces and has expressed concern over losing her eyesight.
One day, Oeurn was informed of our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), by a health center staff member in her village. She proceeded to travel two hours with her neighbor to reach CSC’s care center, where she will receive treatment on May 16.
To cover the costs of her treatment, CSC is requesting $153. After recovery, Oeurn looks forward to spending more time at the pagoda and with her friends.
