Lincoln is a child from Kenya. Lincoln is the second born of two children and lives with his mother and sibling in Nairobi suburbs. His father left them 8 months ago, due to the increasing family demands. Lincoln’s mother sells grocery to sustain the family needs but she is not able to raise the funds needed for his surgical care, Since he was four months old, Lincoln has been experiencing difficulties breathing and his nasal airway always clogged. frequent illness causes him to make many visits to hospitals. He was recently diagnosed with enlarged tonsils and adenoids, which are the soft tissue behind the nasal cavity. Without treatment, this condition will cause Lincoln's symptoms to persist and possibly even intensify. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $779 to fund an adenotonsillectomy for Lincoln, which is scheduled to take place on November 28. Surgeons will remove his tonsils and adenoids, hopefully relieving Lincoln of his symptoms and helping him live more comfortably. “I look forward to the day he will sleep peacefully without the clogging on his nostrils,” says Lincoln’s mother.

Sopheak is a 43-year-old housewife from Cambodia. She has three children and enjoys cooking and taking care of her kids in her free time. When she was three years old, Sopheak had an ear infection. This infection caused the tympanic membrane, or the ear drum, in her right ear to perforate. For this reason, Sopheak experiences discharge, smelliness, itchiness, hearing loss, and headaches. She suffers from hearing loss and worries about her condition every day. Sopheak traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On September 6th, she will undergo a myringoplasty procedure in her right ear. During this procedure, surgeons will close the perforation. Our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, is requesting $423 to fund this procedure. This covers medications, supplies, and inpatient care. "I hope that after my operation, the infection will go away and my hearing will improve."

Susan is a housewife from Kenya. She is a mother of six children who are grown up with their own families. But since she could not give them a good education they are also struggling to sustain their families. Susan does not work she is a house wife and the husband is a small scale farmer. Susan has been alright until 26th July 2019 when she slipped and fell. She was taken to hospital and an x-ray done showed she had closed fracture right radius/ulna bones. It is difficult for her to use her hand and she is in chronic pain Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner can help. On October 03, Susan will undergo a fracture repair procedure, called an open reduction and internal fixation. This procedure will help her work again Now, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $998 to fund this procedure. “I love my wife and she has been very helpful to me and the family. I hate to see how she is suffering and kindly ask for help” said Susan’s husband.

Suy is a 37-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. In his spare time, he likes to listen to music, watch television, and help his family with the housework. Three years ago, Suy started experiencing chronic arthritis in his right knee. It causes him pain and it is difficult for him to rotate his knee. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On August 5, Suy will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $430. Surgery will help secure the knee bone and allow Suy to walk without any pain or difficulty. He says, "I hope that I no longer suffer from any pain and I will be able to walk normally again."

Srey Nich is a 24-year-old university student from Cambodia. She likes to listen to music, read books, and hopes to become an electrician after completing her studies. When she was ten years old, Srey Nich had an ear infection. This infection caused the tympanic membrane, or the ear drum, in her right ear to perforate. For this reason, Srey Nich experiences hearing loss, discharge, tinnitus, and itchiness. She finds it difficult to participate in her normal activities and lacks focus at school. Ngwe is a 72-year-old retired widow from Burma. She lives with her daughter, her son-in-law, and her two grandsons. Ngwe has an abdominal mass that causes her discomfort. Ngwe sought treatment through our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund. She is now scheduled to undergo mass removal surgery on July 5. She is requesting $1,500 to cover the total cost of her procedure and care.

Oun is a mother of three from Cambodia. She has three daughters and three grandchildren, and enjoys watching television in her free time. In October 2018, Oun was involved in a motorcycle accident where she injured her right leg and foot. She cannot walk without support, and finds it difficult to do any work. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On May 1, Oun will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $430. This procedure will allow her to walk again on her own and without any pain, She says, "I hope that my surgery goes well so I am able to take care of myself and go back to work."

Dennis is a young student from Kenya. He is the youngest in his family. Dennis has clubfoot of both feet. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. This causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes. Fortunately, Dennis traveled to visit our medical partner's care center, AIC Cure International Hospital. There, surgeons will perform clubfoot repair surgery on May 2. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $1,224 to fund Dennis's clubfoot repair. After treatment, he will be able to walk easily. “I am seeking for support. I want to see my son walking uprightly. God bless you," says his father.

Ikram is a toddler from Tanzania. He is the only child to his single mother. Ikram was born with hypospadias, a congenital abnormality that causes urinary dysfunction. Without treatment, he will continue to experience uncomfortable symptoms and will be at risk of infertility. Fortunately, Ikram is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on April 9. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $986 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care. Ikram’s mother says, “I have been concerned about my son’s condition for a long time but due to financial challenges I have not been able to help my son please help him.”

Zin is a 28-year-old woman who lives with her husband and two daughters in Burma. Her husband is a teacher. Zin usually stays at home and looks after her children. In 2018, Zin went to Mandalay General Hospital and had an echocardiogram and x-ray. The doctor explained that two of her heart valves are wider than the usual sizes and that she needs to undergo surgery. Now, she is scheduled to undergo heart surgery on March 8. Her family needs help raising $1,500 to fund this procedure. Zin said, “I want to work and find money like others to support my family.”

Kobilo is a farmer from Kenya. She has five children. As a farmer, she plants millet and sorghum for her family’s consumption. This month, Kobilo was involved in a road traffic accident while she was crossing the road. She lost consciousness for hours, and she was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Kobilo sustained a severe tibia fibula fracture. She is now unable to walk or stand using her right leg. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner can help. On January 23, Kobilo will undergo a fracture repair procedure, called an open reduction and internal fixation. This procedure will help her walk easily again. Now, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $968 to fund this procedure. Kobilo says, “I want to be able to walk, sit, and even feed by myself like any other person.”

She cannot communicate clearly with others. Pang traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On January 9, she will undergo a myringoplasty procedure in her left ear. During this procedure, surgeons will close the perforation. Our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, is requesting $423 to fund this procedure. This covers medications, supplies, and inpatient care. She says, "I hope my hearing improves and I don't have any more ear pain."
