Dominick is a student from Tanzania. He likes studying and playing football. Dominick wants to be a pastor when he grows up. He lives in a family of five. Dominick’s father is a construction worker, and his mother is a small businesswoman selling vegetables in a kiosk near home.
Since 2008, Dominick has been experiencing persistent flu and heavy snoring at night. Frequent illness causes him to miss school often. Dominick was recently diagnosed with enlarged tonsils, which, if not treated, will cause his symptoms to persist and possibly intensify over time.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $633 to fund a tonsillectomy for Dominick, which is scheduled to take place on February 1. Surgeons will remove his tonsils, hopefully relieving Dominick of his symptoms and helping him live more comfortably.
Dominick’s mother says, “I will be very happy to see Dominick get treatment, get well, and attend school as required so that he can succeed in life.”
