Molly is a hardworking mother of six children from Uganda. Every day, she wakes up at six to walk around selling her yellow bananas while her husband takes care of a small farm that provides food for their household. Her husband stays home to prepare the children for school.
Molly recently developed a swelling in her left upper arm, which gradually worsened. She could no longer sell the bananas herself and had to send her children instead, affecting the family’s income. The abnormal growth eventually forced her to seek help at our medical partner’s care center, Rwibaale Health Center, where a surgeon examined her and diagnosed her with a cyst. She requires an excision procedure to relieve her symptoms.
On July 15th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Molly needs help to raise $153 to fund this procedure and alleviate her symptoms.
Molly says, “I hope to be able to lift my basin of yellow bananas and resume my business after recovery.”
