Sai is a 42-year-old man from Burma. He lives alone in northern Thailand, where he works as a construction day laborer. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies and playing games on his phone.
On the evening of July 4th, 2026, Sai was driving his motorbike home in the rain when he slipped and fell, breaking his neck in the fall. Currently, his neck is immobilized, and he has to remain lying down. He experiences some pain, though it is managed with painkillers.
With the help of our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, Sai will undergo surgery to reset his fractured bones and ensure proper healing. The procedure is scheduled for July 22nd, and he needs help raising $1,500 to help fund his procedure and care. It will help him regain mobility and be able to go back to work.
Sai said, “I feel bad that I have no one to take care of me except the nurses at the hospital. I worry about my condition as I cannot afford my treatment.”
